We had a lovely time as exhibitors at IRX London 2022 and so we’re happy to share a bit of all the fun things we were up to during the event.
Firstly, it was an absolute pleasure catching up with and meeting so many talented retailers and tech experts who came by our stand to say hello. We hope you enjoy your new and very exclusive Akoova T-shirt and notepad. 😉
How Drawing Pigs Creates Commercial Advantage
Our founder and CEO Osvaldo Spadano kept very busy at IRX. He not only participated in a panel talk but also gave a workshop of his own on both days of the event.
At his interactive and insightful workshop, Ossy shared his knowledge about Lean thinking and explored the benefits of applying several of its pillars in the path to continuous improvement.
Attendees learnt about the power of standardisation in a fun piglet sketching activity. As you can probably tell by the photos below, the absence of a standardised drawing process led to very different end products – or pig doodles, that is.
Participants of Ossy’s workshop also had the chance to enter a prize draw for a chance of winning a Jeroboam of Champagne, awarded to two very lucky winners.
Sadly, they drank the whole thing so fast we didn’t have time to take pictures. Just kidding, we wish! The prizes are actually on their way to their proud owners as we speak and so hopefully they’ll get to enjoy their awards in no time.
Building the Ultimate Customer Experience
On the first day of IRX, Osvaldo also took part in a thought-provoking panel talk about best practices for building the ultimate customer experience.
The fruitful discussion was hosted by Chris Field from Retail Connections and featured, alongside Ossy, Alex Shepherd from Adobe Commerce and Adam Hindle from Fluid Commerce.
Behind the Scenes
Our Marketing Manager, Neil Jarvis, also had some time to enjoy a bit of the spotlight himself.
After working very hard to coordinate Akoova’s participation at the conference, he was interviewed by event organisers to share his take on IRX.
In addition to all the hard work, our team had the opportunity to have some fun.
We all got together for well-deserved drinks and dinner, and some of us even got our caricatures drawn at one of the stands.
Thank you to all of those involved in making it happen. It was a greatly rewarding experience and we’re already looking forward to next year’s. Hopefully, we’ll see you there.
If, like us, you can’t possibly wait until 2023 to attend another event, check out the upcoming Pulse eCommerce Summit happening on the 10th of November. We’ll be there!
